PLANO, Texas – October 21, 2015 – Akorbi CEO, Claudia Mirza, was one of only three entrepreneurs in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to be recognized by Telemundo 39 during their 5th Annual Hispanic Business Salute on September 17th at AT&T Stadium.  Claudia was selected for her proven track record of success and exceptionally strong contributions to the community. Other honorees included, Beatriz Manetta, CEO of Argent Associates and Asociar LLC and Nancy Galvan, CEO of Unica Janitorial Solutions.

Claudia was featured in a video and presented with an award to commemorate the special recognition. Her rise from poverty in Colombia to establishing and leading the fastest-growing company in the language services industry, as a result of 75% growth from 2014 to 2015, made her an extremely deserving recipient of this honor.

The event also recognized three future Hispanic leaders for their proven academic achievement and leadership. Telemundo 39 and NBC 5 awarded each student a $5,000 scholarship to further their educational goals.
