At Akorbi, we are seeking qualified Bosnian, Albanian and Croatian interpreters close to the Phoenix metro area for on-site assignments.

We accept applications of speakers of one or all the languages. 

The selected candidates will join our team as contractors, accepting jobs as per their availability.

Interpreters should be experienced in the medical field, with a good understanding of related industry terminology. Areas of expertise: Healthcare, Health Insurance, Medical.

Job Description

  • Provide Onsite Consecutive Interpreting.
  • Precisely and accurately interpret medical and general information given by the provider into equivalent terminology in the patient's native language (Bosnian, Albanian or Croatian)
  • Establishes and maintains quality service and positive interaction with all patients and providers.
  • Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA policies and standards.
  • Follows the guidelines for Code of Ethics and Conduct, along with HIPAA Compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Certified Medical Interpreters Preferred
  • Bilingual/multilingual in English and the mentioned languages with 100% proficiency
  • Experience performing ON SITE Interpreting in a Healthcare facility, Community, Medical Office, or equivalent.
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and members/patients.
  • Technology and Internet savvy

On-boarding process

  • Selection process with our Vendor Management team
  • Paperwork
  • Compliance training: HIPAA – FWA
  • Completion of orientation process
