Plano, TX – October 15, 2015 – Azam Mirza, President of Akorbi, the fastest-growing language services provider in the world, is speaking about growth strategies at the LocWorld29 Silicon Valley Conference, taking place October 14-16. The presentation titled, “Our Journey to Becoming One of the Fastest-Growing LSPs,” will take place on Friday, October 16th from 2:15 to 3 p.m. at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Azam’s leadership and vision have turned Akorbi into a multi-million dollar global business solutions company with more than 600 employees around the world and 75% growth from 2014 to 2015.

LocWorld brings together delegates who are engaged in the business of adapting products, services, and communications to an international language or culture so they appear native to that particular region. Speakers at the conference include representatives from Adobe Systems, Autodesk, Box, eBay, Google, Hewlett-Packard, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Netflix, Salesforce, and other notable companies. More than 600 global business executives from 45 countries are expected to attend the event.

Scott Amyx, CEO of Amyx+McKinsey, an expert on wearables and the Internet of Things (IoT), will deliver the keynote. Amyx is the coauthor of The Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems Handbook, an academic publication by John Wiley and Sons, scheduled for late 2015. He also writes for a number of publications, including Wired, InformationWeek, IEEE and Wearable Technologies. Amyx was recently voted into the Top25 speakers on Speaking.com.

The pre-conference day will include round tables on sales and marketing, life sciences business and game localization. There will also be a forum on localization processes, sessions on quality management and more.

  • Attendees may choose from seven tracks during the main conference program: Global Business, Global Web, Content Strategy, Advanced Localization Management, Inside Track, TAUS, and Unconference.

“LocWorld is a key conference for companies that are doing business globally or that are addressing multiple language markets,” said Mirza.  “Our presentation will illustrate our journey from stagnant growth to fast growth and will hopefully inspire attendees to reach their business potential.”
