Akorbi CEO, Claudia Mirza, Receives NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award from Dallas Cowboys & Telemundo 39

AKORBI CEO, CLAUDIA MIRZA, RECEIVES NFL HISPANIC HERITAGE LEADERSHIP AWARD FROM DALLAS COWBOYS & TELEMUNDO 39

PLANO, Texas – October 21, 2015 – During an on-field Cowboys/Atlanta Falcons pre-game ceremony at AT&T Stadium on September 27th, Claudia Mirza was honored with the 2015 NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award for her business leadership and community service.  The award was presented by Charlotte Jones Anderson, Cowboy’s Executive Vice President and John Trevino, Telemundo 39’s President and General Manager.

The award recognizes the contributions of Hispanic leaders in each NFL market. Claudia was one of only 32 Hispanic leaders across the U.S. to receive this highly-coveted award. The award came with a $2,000 contribution to a non-profit Claudia is passionate about – The Parker Lee Project.  The organization helps families of children with medical needs obtain the supplies, equipment, education and support they need.

“It is truly an honor to receive this recognition and award from amazing organizations like the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys and Telemundo,” said Claudia Mirza, CEO of Akorbi.  “These organizations have gone above and beyond to recognize the success and contributions of Latinos in this wonderful country, and it means the world to me.”

During Hispanic Heritage Month, the NFL and all 32 teams are celebrating the rich history, heritage, and tradition of Latinos and honoring the positive impact they have had on the game and country.  The theme this year is “Feel the Orgullo.”  In Spanish, “orgullo” means pride, which reflects exactly how Latino players, fans and coaches feel about their culture, team, and the NFL.
